<p>Around 75% of jobs that we go to for flood damage are the result of pipes freezing and breaking. This can<br />
be prevented by covering the outside faucet with a faucet cover and making sure to turn the water completly off. If the temperature reaches below 32&#8242; (which is does often in Seattle) you will be ok as long as you have done this simple step.</p>
<p>Water heaters can break too.  If you have any exposed water lines, wrap them up.</p>
<p>If a pipe does break, first call a plumber or repairman to fix the problem.  Call us for recommendations if you don’t know of someone.</p>
